Ingredients

  • 1 shortcrust pastry

  • 4 eggs

  • 5 oz of sugar

  • 3 oz of cornstarch

  • 1/4 gallon of milk

  • 1 vanilla pod

Preparation

  1. Boil the milk with the split vanilla pod (lengthwise).

  2. Meanwhile, mix the cornstarch with the sugar and add the well-beaten eggs. Mix everything (well homogeneous) and add the boiling milk (without the pod).

  3. Cook the mixture over low heat without stirring for about 1 to 2 minutes.

  4. Butter a mold and put the shortcrust pastry in it. Pour the preparation.

  5. Cook for around 30 to 40 minutes at 355 ° F.
